We stayed and watched them for a long time. There are many mediocre to bad street dancers but this couple had it all.

Lunch and Vino, Vino, Vino of course
Carne is the meal of choice (beef, beef, beef) It was delicious everywhere and they certainly do not skimp on the portions. This was in a little town about an hour outside of BsAs - San Antonio de Areca
Dessert is served with many of the meals. This one was a wonderful chees and some gelled pumpkin thing. They do a lot with pumpkin.
There was a big tree in the park next door. I love to climb trees. After this photo I climbed higher. With better shoes I would have tackeled the whole thing.
Tango, Tango, Tango
Tango Lessons. What fun. Since I didn't know enough Spanish I just watched the feet. It worked.
We went to a professional performance of Tango. I cry at live performances and Margie caught me in the act.
Some of the pros on stage.

There are lots and lots of street Tango performers. That is where the dance began. We named this man "OMG!". This picture does not capture his charisma or the best of his looks. What a cutie.
Blurred photo but they were Fantastic. She was actually from California and had thought she was only going to stay in Argentina for a couple of months. She stayed longer.
Did you know that the Tango was a dance that a pimp would do with his prostitute under a glaring street lamp so that he could show her off to the perspective clients? I learned this on the plane on the way home.

Party Time
Roberto and Cecilia at a party at his friend from Peru. Many of the men at the party meet once a week to talk about philosophy. Some of the people there were economists, artists, professors, school administration, architects, retired ambassador and a retired federal judge to name a few.
Some of the girls. Again the lack of Spanish got in my way of a full experience but there were several people who were happy to practice their English on me.

The Federal Judge (quite the character) with a trained singer. After the meal we all sat around and sang or listened to some of the guests break out in solos, duets or group songs. Lots of beautiful voices - mine was not one of them.
Roberto the Actor
Roberto acts in 2 independent acting groups. This one was rehearsing for "The Importance of Being Ernest". Yes, he was playing a woman.
The three girls.
The three girls.
A group picture. It was really facinating watching the rehearsal since it was all in Spanish and my Spanish is just a little bit better than my Chinese, which is non existant.
Esteban Roberto Urruty's house. He is an architect specializing in medical facilities but he designed his home. It is modern, simple, artistic, unique. This is the outside hallway that borders his house and separates it from the one next door.
A wonderful outside sitting area.

Just outside the farthest back door is the railroad track. We learned to not even hear it. It just added to the character of the place.
