Shame on me
To my followers: Sorry! I have not been keeping up with this blog. My adventures surely continue but some of them are not about the travel - although the travel surely is there. I will be more attentive to my blog in the future.
My non-travel adventures have been expanding my quality of life here - namely the two clubs that I have joined. One is the Sevenoaks Artist Forum where meets monthly to talk about art and at times hear a presentation. They are a bit traditional in their collective personality in that the British are not the most open and inviting group but I am still getting something out of this and will continue to work on getting to know them regardless of the cultural barriers.
Then there is the Rotary Club of Malling which is demonstrating the opposite personality being more than warm and welcoming.I have attended several meetings (they meet weekly)and hopefully will be voted into membership soon. I am bursting with ideas for their fund-raising and fellowship missions and can't wait to introduce. I thank my brother Jim for suggesting I join. Very satisfying.
The other non-travel adventures are the journeys that my art is taking me to. I have been a painting fiend! Go to my painting blog : www.eileenmcconkeyartist.blogspot.com and sign up to follow me there and you will be kept abreast of all that is going on there. My goal is to show in exhibitions and to land a gallery or two.
I will catch up with pictures of my travels gone by and travels that are yet to come. There are 3 travels on the books right now - 1. Munich, 2. Majorica, 3 Nordic Cruise. Stay tuned!
